Shimano Ice-Tech is a cooling technology that ensures maximum consistent braking performance. The brake disc is characterized by its three-layer sandwich construction made of stainless steel flanks with an aluminum core and offers significantly improved heat dissipation. The CN-M8100 chain is specially designed for the 8100 chainrings and cassettes. The millings on the inside of the lugs harmonize perfectly with the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ (DCE+) Narrow-Wide tooth profiles of the new Ultegra chainrings. The design results in a tighter fit of the chain on the teeth. Vibrations are avoided and the smoother running of the chain is not only noticeable when pedaling, but is also expressed acoustically through a quieter drive. Thanks to a new chromed surface in combination with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the service life of the chain could be kept at the level of the M8000 chain, despite the smaller outer width.
