The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless Disc-Brake is the ultimate wheelset for performance-driven cyclists. Its varying rim depth is designed to minimize wind sensitivity while retaining the aerodynamic benefits of a deeper rim. Engineered specifically for tubeless tires, the wide rim allows for lower tire pressures, which reduces rolling resistance and absorbs road vibrations—resulting in a smoother, more energy-efficient ride. For optimal performance, a 28 mm tire is recommended.

Featuring the distinctive 58 mm Sawtooth rim profile with Hyperfoils, the 454 NSW offers the ideal combination of aerodynamics and stability. It’s equipped with Zipp’s Total System Efficiency (TSE) concept, which targets the four biggest barriers to speed: aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, gravity, and vibration. The hookless rim design creates a seamless interface between the tire and rim, further enhancing aerodynamic performance. Thanks to an advanced carbon layout, these rims are both lighter and stronger than traditional designs.

Zipp ZR1 SL Hubs – Precision Meets Speed

Developed exclusively for Zipp’s top-tier NSW range, the ZR1 SL hubs feature a 6-pawl mechanism, with three offset pawls for dual engagement. This configuration provides 66 points of engagement, resulting in a fast 5.5-degree engagement angle for immediate and efficient power transfer. Ceramic bearings minimize rolling resistance and weight, maximizing efficiency and responsiveness.

Tubeless Ready Made Easy

Setting up your wheels tubeless has never been simpler. These rims are designed for tool-free installation, and inflating tires requires no compressor. The wide hookless rim design supports lower tire pressures, particularly when using tubeless setups. The maximum pressure is limited to 5 Bar (72.2 PSI), ensuring increased surface contact for better grip and agility—especially useful on descents and in wet conditions.

Hookless Rim Benefits

The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless Disc Brake wheels utilize a hookless rim profile, meaning there are no hooks to hold the tire bead. Instead, pressure from the inner tube (or tubeless setup) and specially designed hookless-compatible tires keep the tire securely in place. This design allows for wider tire compatibility, reduced rolling resistance, and increased comfort—all contributing to higher speeds and a better ride feel.

Zipp Lifetime Warranty

Zipp offers a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects for added peace of mind. This warranty is valid once the wheelset is registered and is non-transferable upon resale.

Compatibility Notes

• Inner tubes are only compatible when used with tubeless-ready tires, which fit more snugly than standard clinchers.

• If using a traditional inner tube, it must have a threaded valve. The included adapter allows the Zipp AXS sensor to be used with this setup.
